Key Responsibilities

  • Mitigate a variety of medical and surgical cases
  • Develop trusting relationships with clients
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and prudent use of resources
  • Delegate responsibilities to para-professional staff
  • Work with Medical Director, LCSW and Practice Manager on case selection

Required Qualifications

  • DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree
  • Licensure in NYS to practice veterinary medicine
  • DEA eligible
  • Internship or 3 years of previous clinical experience in Urgent Care
  • Demonstrated competency in advanced soft tissue surgery
  • Strong surgical and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work alone
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fear Free certification (to be completed within 30 days of employment)
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable, reliable, and efficient
