Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you'll evaluate and treat patients to improve their speech and language functions. This role offers the opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary team and contribute to community education.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients based on departmental standards
Conduct and modify evaluations based on patient's symptoms and medical status
Treat patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administer physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques
Educate patients/families in home exercise programs
Document in accordance with insurance guidelines
Foster interdepartmental communication regarding patient care
Supervise at least one affiliated student per year
Participate in continuing education courses
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Current Connecticut license or eligibility
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association or eligibility
Valid driver's license for occasional travel
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic personal computer skills in Windows-based programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
