Job Description
Join Optum as a Pharmacy Care Technician, where you'll improve health outcomes through outreach and support for medication adherence. This role involves making calls to members and physicians, ensuring members receive the pharmacy benefits they need while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Make outbound calls to members to improve medication adherence.
Gather prescription refill orders and provide customer service.
Determine eligibility for the Medical Assistance Program.
Document accurate information during calls.
Participate in pharmacy quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in the state of Texas
National Certification
1+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting
6+ months of experience in a call center setting
Intermediate level of knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and CMS security requirements
Intermediate level of writing skills and ability to produce work free from typographical or spelling errors
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet and e-mail
Beginner level of knowledge of the Medicare Part D
Preferred Qualifications
PBM experience
Beginner level of knowledge of NCPDP and other types of prescription drug claims
Working knowledge of Medicare Part B and Part D coverage guidelines and payment methodologies
Bilingual
