Job Description
Join The Jewish Board as a Payroll Clerk to ensure accurate payroll processing and support the payroll team. This role is essential for maintaining employee records and resolving payroll discrepancies, making a significant impact on the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Review and process address changes and tax forms
Match data entries with new hire documents for accuracy
Run new hire and termination reports for completeness
Review timesheets for new hire and termination hours
Field telephone calls and provide payroll information
Resolve payroll discrepancies
Run and submit Social Security verification reports
Handle employee Wage inquiries
Maintain payroll records and confidentiality
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience as a clerk in payroll or accounting
Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel
Experience with electronic timekeeping systems
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree with 2+ years of related experience
Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of related experience
