Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage required
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on a 24-bed telemetry unit
• Float to all medical/surgical units as needed
• Care for patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and medical/surgical telemetry conditions
• Must have excellent communication and time management skills
• Must be able to read telemetry strips (telemetry monitor technicians available for monitoring)
• Work with CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen patients
• PCTs available with 12:1 ratio
• Charge nurse, house supervisors, and nurse educators available for support
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Department-specific orientation provided for medical/surgical telemetry unit
• Paragon charting system
• BLS certification required
• BSN not required
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
