Join Cargill as an Electrical/Controls Maintenance Technician and be part of a team dedicated to safe and sustainable food production. In this full-time role, you will ensure manufacturing reliability, perform essential maintenance tasks, and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence within the protein and salt business.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain Manufacturing Process Reliability
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
Operate standard maintenance tools and electrical testing equipment safely
Read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics
Follow safety rules and develop proper safety techniques
Prepare work sites and respond to interruption work
Complete work order documentation and communicate daily issues
Required Qualifications
High School or GED Equivalent
Programming and troubleshooting skills, preferably with Allen-Bradley
Be able to troubleshoot PLCs and Ladder logic
Be willing to be a part of the Hazmat team
Electrical/Maintenance Journeyman License in Michigan
3 years manufacturing maintenance experience
Strong electrical & mechanical aptitude
Ability to read & interpret blueprints or other forms of engineering drawings
Ability to read & interpret detail blueprints, P&IDs, single-lines, and wiring schematics
Ability to work weekend and off shift hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Computer literacy and eagerness to learn SAP/PPE systems
Maintenance experience in a food processing environment
Able to effectively use typical test and calibration equipment
Ability to troubleshoot 480 VAC 3-phase motor controls, 120 VAC and 24VDC control circuits
