Job Description

Join Optum as a Patient Services Representative and be part of a dynamic healthcare team that prioritizes patient care and excellence. In this role, you'll greet patients, manage registrations and payments, and collaborate with staff to ensure a seamless experience while adhering to Lean processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients
  • Receive payments and issue receipts
  • Verify insurance eligibility and coverage
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Support teams in meeting financial and clinical goals

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
  • 1+ years of EPIC scheduling experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency
  • Ability to cover other offices if needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working with an electronic health record
  • Experience working with scheduling programs
  • Knowledge of minimal medical terminology
