As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support to Sailors and Marines, conducting services and ceremonies while promoting ethical and moral guidance. You'll play a vital role in their lives both on land and at sea, ensuring they receive the encouragement they need during challenging times.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings and funerals
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Provide spiritual guidance and care to hospitalized personnel and their families
Train lay leaders in religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services and retreats
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
