Key Responsibilities
Provide critical care intensive support for all patients admitted
Perform professional services to assure appropriate quality of care
Provide consultation and collaboration with emergency department physicians
Facilitate and manage the use of specialists for patient care
Complete records and reports timely
Provide orientation and training regarding Critical Care and Pulmonary Services
Organize and participate in medical staff meetings and education programs
Serve as the Subspecialty Education Coordinator for the residency program
Deliver didactic lectures and board review for residents
Report material concerns about quality of care
Promote good public relations on behalf of the hospital
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
Completion of an accredited ACGME or AOA Internal Medicine Residency
Completion of a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship
Board-certified or eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care
Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in California
