Position Overview

The Travel SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. This role involves developing individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based interventions, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with speech, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

• Develop individualized treatment plans and adjust care based on patient progress.

• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice.

• Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers.

• Accurately document all care and maintain compliance with facility and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team.

• Provide comprehensive discharge summaries.

• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and team meetings.

• Supervise and support CFYs or student SLPs.

• Maintain professional ethics in alignment with ASHA and state practice standards.

Requirements

• 1+ year of SLP experience – Required

• LTC or Rehab experience – Required

• MO State License – Required

• CCC-SLP Certification – Required

• 3+ years with active CCS – Preferred

• New grads accepted with Level II experience (not Level I observation only)

• At least 1 supervisory reference within the last 2 years required
