Job Description
Join the Glastonbury Center for Health & Rehabilitation as a Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to design and oversee training programs that empower healthcare staff. You'll enhance care standards and foster professional growth in a meaningful and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, coordinate, and deliver orientation and ongoing training programs
Assess training needs, develop curriculum, and implement educational strategies
Collaborate with department heads to ensure training aligns with regulatory requirements
Provide mentoring, coaching, and support to staff
Coordinate orientation of new employees
Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in nursing care
Required Qualifications
Valid state nursing license
Commitment to resident-centered care and excellence in healthcare delivery
Excellent communication, instructional and presentation skills
Strong clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or certification
Experience in a nursing leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in staff education and development
Inspirational leader with a focus on innovation and quality improvement
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill
