Ryder is seeking a Full-Time Mid-Level Diesel Technician to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles in Pittsburgh, PA. The role includes performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and mentoring junior technicians, offering a competitive salary and great benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
Conduct standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance
Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems
Complete complex mechanical inspections and repairs
Replace defective components as instructed
Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints
Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
Required Qualifications
Basic tools
Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
Routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, brake and tire work
Basic diagnostics and repairs including AC and electrical systems
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment
Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Vocational or Technical Certification
Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred
