Responsibilities The Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) functions as a laboratory professional who assists other laboratory personnel in specimen collection, specimen receiving, specimen processing, laboratory testing, process improvement and quality initiatives.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification from a nationally recognized agency as a medical lab assistant within 2 years of hire date.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Experience working in the clinical setting
- Certification from nationally recognized agency as a phlebotomist preferred.
