Join the Beacon Brook Center for Health & Rehabilitation as an MDS Director, where you'll lead MDS assessments to create personalized resident care plans and ensure compliance with regulations. Your expertise will contribute to exceptional resident care and meaningful impacts in their lives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for resident care plans and reimbursement
Ensure compliance and accuracy in assessments
Monitor Case Mix Index (CMI) scores
Train, mentor and manage MDS Coordinators
Coordinate and participate in comprehensive resident assessments and care planning
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for accurate data collection
Provide ongoing education to facility staff and leaders
Track and analyze assessment data for compliance and optimization of reimbursement
Drive a culture of continuous improvement in nursing care
Required Qualifications
Valid state RN license preferred
Direct care in a long-term care setting and/or MDS Coordinator experience required
Proficient in state and federal regulations governing the MDS and billing process
Knowledge and understanding of Electronic Medical Record (EMR), PDP, MDS 3.0, Medicaid and Medicare requirements
Deadline driven, exceptionally detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or certification preferred
Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill
