Join FM as a Jurisdictional Consultant Boiler Inspector, where you'll conduct critical inspections of boilers and pressure vessels in Southeastern MA and Rhode Island. This role offers comprehensive training and the opportunity to impact safety and compliance in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-service jurisdictional inspections of boilers and pressure vessels
Service Southeastern MA, Boston, Metro-West Boston, and Rhode Island
Inspect according to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and National Board Inspection Code
Eliminate or mitigate hazards during inspections
Receive FM Global procedural and field training
Required Qualifications
BS in Engineering, associate degree from a 2-year technical school, or high school diploma (or equivalent)
Meet National Board In-Service commission qualification requirements Rules for Commissioned Inspectors
Acquire a passing score on the National Board Exam
Acquire a National Board Commission and certification from at least one jurisdiction within 12 months
Experience in boiler and pressure vessel construction, operation, and inspection
Strong overall technical knowledge in the boiler and pressure vessel construction and inspection industry
Preferred Qualifications
National Board and state certifications
Qualified to review repairs in accordance with the NBIC and FMIC requirements
