The Los Angeles office of Perkins Eastman | Pfeiffer is searching for a talented architectural designer, with a passion for planning and design in the Higher Education market and Arts and Culture practice, to join our diverse and growing practice. What We Provide: This position will provide an opportunity to work with integrated design teams on both international and domestic work and expand the versatility of the LA office. The individual selected must possess the ability to react positively to a variety of design priorities, styles, and project delivery methods. Primary Responsibilities: Assist in design exercises in Master Planning, Site Planning, and Building Design utilizing 3D Modeling and Digital Presentation Packaging. Perform design computations as necessary that evolve our design capabilities. Assist in the preparation of physical models and graphic presentations for client approval. Assist the design team on projects from the Pre-Schematic Phase through Construction Documents. Prepare renderings or coordinate with out-of-house renderers, create data tables, develop project layouts, and progress designs in 3D using Revit or other 3D modeling software for client review/approval. Assist with preparing client presentations of design concepts and development of drawings. Assist with preparations of construction drawings and construction detailing. Assist in Construction Administration activities. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited school. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant higher education and experience in cultural projects desired. Ability to develop, communicate, and present design concepts to the team. Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Self-motivated and eager to learn and develop design skills. Proficiency with Revit , Affinity Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Enscape, Lumion, Rhino, and Grasshopper, and other related design and presentation software.
