LDRP Registered Nurse – Travel Position

Pay: $2,844/week
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Bismarck, ND. The LDRP Nurse will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process, from labor and delivery through postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, and confident in handling a wide range of obstetric cases in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including vital signs, fetal heart rate, and labor progress.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management interventions as prescribed.
Assist physicians and midwives with deliveries and respond quickly to obstetric emergencies.
Educate and support mothers and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
Float to other units as assigned to support staffing needs.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Registered Nurse license in North Dakota (or compact license).
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
Minimum of 3 years of recent labor and delivery or LDRP nursing experience.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
Strong communication, assessment, and clinical judgment skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity and emergency obstetric situations.
