Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic and be part of a progressive team that ensures the highest quality of waste and recycling services. You'll perform essential maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel equipment, contributing to employee and environmental safety while enjoying a supportive company culture.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of diesel heavy trucks and engines
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns when on call
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Experience with heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English
Ability to meet physical and safety requirements
Must provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a Diesel Mechanic
Experience with DPF systems and diagnostic software (e.g., Premium Tech Tool, Mack)
