Surgical Technician – Days

Location: Concord, MA
Schedule: 2x8s & 2x12s (40 hours/week)
Call Requirement: Rotating per unit needs

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Surgical Technician to join the Operating Room team in Concord, MA. The ideal candidate will bring strong surgical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and RNs during operative procedures by preparing and handling instruments and supplies.
• Ensure the operating room is properly prepared, organized, and sterile before and after each procedure.
• Maintain inventory of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide efficient intraoperative support.
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation as assigned by department leadership.

Schedule & Call Details:

• Shift: 2x8s & 2x12s (Days) | 40 hours/week
• Call Rotation:
  • Approximately one weekday call shift every other week (as backup to night shift)
  • Approximately one weekend call shift per month (24 hours)
  • Additional call may be assigned based on unit needs

Requirements:

• Active Massachusetts Surgical Technologist License (preferred if applicable)
• NBSTSA Certification – Required
• BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent OR experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
