Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,030–$2,180 per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Unit (Medical/Surgical Nursing)
• Location: Hermiston, Oregon (97838) – Northeast Oregon nursing jobs
• Shift: Day Shift, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 guaranteed hours), including every other weekend
• Team Environment: Collaborate with 2-3 other Med/Surg nurses and a full-time Hospitalist physician
• Start Date: September 30, 2025
• End Date: December 30, 2025

Med/Surg RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Oregon RN license preferred
• Minimum 3 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Experience providing care for both adult and pediatric patients in a clinical setting
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the Med/Surg unit
• Collaborate with fellow nurses and the Hospitalist physician to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, progress, and vital signs
• Administer medications, treatments, and clinical interventions as prescribed
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and healthcare staff
