Job Description
As a Transportation Supervisor at Sysco, you'll oversee the delivery department, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing staff, and improving operational efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team while maintaining high standards of customer service and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily work and safety of Delivery Associates
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
Manage labor hours and consumable supplies
Prepare work schedules
Oversee selection and utilization of company assets
Organize repairs as necessary
Review delivery functions and productivity
Suggest efficiency ideas and cost reduction measures
Communicate with Sales Management for issue resolution
Visit customer locations to address delivery issues
Maintain open communication with associates
Conduct safety inspections and accident investigations
Execute management functions including staff selection and performance reviews
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years related experience
Completion of a Sysco-approved defensive driving program
Preferred Qualifications
2 or 4-year college degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management
