DextroMedical is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist (Surg Tech) to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing the operating room, arranging equipment, and supporting the surgical team during procedures to ensure a safe and efficient environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment Assist surgeons and other team members during surgical procedures Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques Pass instruments and supplies during surgery Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures Handle specimens for laboratory analysis Clean and restock OR after each procedure Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred or required (based on facility) BLS certification (AHA) required Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a surgical/OR setting Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure environments Preferred Experience: General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, or other surgical specialties (list specific ones relevant to the facility) Experience with electronic charting (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, Meditech) Additional Requirements: Must have reliable transportation Able to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, or holidays as neededDextroMedical Job ID #LHMC-21020. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
