Med/Surg LPN Job Details – Round Rock, TX

• Location: Round Rock, TX 78681 – A thriving Texas city near Austin with abundant amenities and outdoor activities
• Healthcare Setting: Surgical/Trauma Unit (36 beds, preferred by top surgeons and trauma specialists)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: August 18, 2025
• End Date: November 17, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 2 weekends per 4-week period
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs
• Awards: Multiple DAISY and BEE awards for outstanding nursing care
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $940 - $1010

Med/Surg LPN Qualifications

• Active LPN or LVN license (Texas or compact state)
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS certification (required)
• IV Certification (required)
• ACLS and NIH Stroke Certification (preferred)
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills

Med/Surg LPN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to surgical and trauma patients in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and other healthcare professionals
• Perform core Med/Surg duties: patient monitoring, medication administration, wound care, and patient education
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for accurate clinical documentation
• Support clinical pathways and enhance patient throughput for optimal outcomes
• Participate in patient admissions and discharges, contributing to unit performance
