Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and articulate the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Medical Center and Nursing Service
Maintain a safe and caring environment that supports excellence in clinical practice and customer service
Act as a liaison to clinical staff, physicians, and support staff to promote positive patient outcomes
Research and communicate information on new equipment, supplies, and procedures
Participate in staff meetings and problem-solve supply management and equipment issues
Required Qualifications
Current New York State licensure as Registered Nurse
Valid CPR certification
Three years previous Operating Room experience
Demonstrates clinical competency as an OR nurse in both scrub and circulating roles
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
CNOR certification
Demonstrated leadership experience in charge or resource role
