Job Description
As a Navy Chaplain, you'll provide spiritual support to Sailors and Marines during significant moments in their lives. You'll conduct worship services, offer counseling, oversee religious education programs, and promote spiritual well-being within the Navy community.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Provide spiritual guidance and care to hospitalized personnel
Train lay leaders for religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services and events
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
