Job Details:
• Work 12-hour variable shifts in a combined ICU and Med Surg unit
• 36 guaranteed hours per week for 13-week contract
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:4-5 on days/evenings and 1:6-7 on evenings/nights
• Occasional floating to other departments for assistance (vital checks, etc.) without taking patient load
• May float to other locations including Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade
• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility
• 2+ years experience required with ED or ICU experience very helpful
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN license and BLS
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Any clean and work-appropriate scrubs required
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours
• May be placed on call for low census hours
Facility:
This 25-bed critical access hospital features a 20-bed unit with a typical census of 8-10 patients. The facility operates a shared ICU and Med Surg unit, with the ICU containing 3 beds. The hospital provides comprehensive medical services to the community and maintains modern equipment and Epic charting systems to support quality patient care.
