Key Responsibilities
Assess home health pediatric patient for rehabilitative and functional status
Regularly re-evaluate the patient’s/client’s speech and language needs
Develop, initiate, and revise the plan of care as necessary
Identify deficits in communication and feeding/swallowing
Evaluate the home environment
Recommend communication devices and aides
Coordinate services and inform relevant personnel of changes in patient condition
Supervise and provide clinical direction to other speech and language personnel
Promote agency philosophy and policies
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree
Current Texas State license as a Speech Language Pathologist
Current Driver’s License
Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience as a Speech and Language Pathologist in a pediatric clinical care setting
