Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Provide primary women’s health care focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care
Perform comprehensive history and physical exams
Manage inpatient obstetrical care and collaborate with OB/GYN attending physician
Prescribe treatments and medications as per formulary
Participate in peer review and audits
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in related field
Current licensure in California (RN and CNM)
Certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)
Current furnishing number and DEA license
Current certification in BLS
Experience with at least 40 births in acute care setting
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school/university of nurse-midwifery
Three (3) years’ experience preferred
Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation
Certification in Limited OB ultrasound
