Job Description
The Medical Director at The Jewish Board is a highly skilled psychiatrist providing leadership at a Coordinated Community Behavioral Health Center. This role focuses on integrated care and includes supervising clinical operations, training new practitioners, and supporting substance use treatment initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and guidance to clinicians and programs at the CCBHC
Lead clinical team meetings and assist with high-risk case management
Support recruitment efforts by interviewing psychiatric candidates
Provide clinical orientation to new hires
Supervise NPP students and Psych providers
Deliver direct client services
Required Qualifications
Active New York State medical license and DEA
Extensive experience providing psychiatric care
Specialty or considerable experience in Substance Use Treatment
Preferred Qualifications
Subspecialty board certification in addiction psychiatry
Certification from the American Society of Addiction Medicine
Certification by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM)
Subspecialty board certification in Addiction Medicine from the American Osteopathic Association
