Key Responsibilities
Inspect and review quality of claim files and provide feedback to employees
Ongoing coaching and driving awareness for employees
Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and member experiences
Build conditions for success and lead organizational changes
Achieve optimal productivity through workload management and staffing
Monitor work to ensure consistent execution of processes
Handle escalations and make decisions based on policy
Facilitate skill identification and career progression for employees
Hire, develop, and coach claims employees for results delivery
Consistently coach employees on claims handling
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience
6 years of progressive customer service, operational, military or leadership experience
Minimum of 2 years of claims handling experience
2 years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience
Experience using and interpreting data to make decisions
Demonstrated leadership, initiative, customer service and/or claims handling skills
Acquisition and maintenance of applicable insurance adjuster license within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of recent or current claims leadership
5 years of property claims experience handling moderate severity Homeowners or Dwelling claims
Ability to work West Coast time zone and closing shift during daylight savings
Residential construction experience
Knowledge of Xactimate, XactAnalysis and XactContents
Knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law
Experience handling catastrophe claims
CPCU or other insurance industry designation
