Job Description

The Clinical Assessment Specialist is a licensed professional with a master's degree in the social services fields. They serve as a member of the emergency/acute care clinical team to provide psychiatric risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation, and crisis intervention to patients and families in both the Medical and Psychiatric Emergency Departments. Other services provided are telephonic and in-person dissemination of up to date referral information regarding community programs, telephonic consultation with multi-disciplinary professionals in the community, 24 Hour Crisis Line call management and assistance for all inquiries regarding Mental Health Services and matching patient needs with services and reimbursement sources. Hours: Full-Time, 0.90 FTE, Variable and Night Shifts, 36 Hours Per Week - $10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires and Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment. Master's Degree in Social Work or other related field, or ~ D in Psychology or other related field ~ Alaska Masters Social Worker License, or ~ 3 years clinical experience in the mental health field.
