Job Description
Join GEICO as a Casualty Claims Examiner and increase your earning potential with a $2,500 sign-on bonus! In this role, you'll handle bodily injury claims, providing exceptional service and technical expertise while delivering operational excellence in a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide customer service to policyholders that exceeds expectations
Assure coverage for each loss and all policy provisions before processing payments
Investigate all aspects of the claim to determine liability percentage and legal responsibility
Identify and evaluate claims indicators of fraud and escalate as appropriate
Utilize claims tools to evaluate liability and extent of damages
Negotiate claims settlements for evaluated damages
Authorize negotiated payment for established damages
Ensure all compliance requirements are met in a timely and professional manner
Adjust reserves adequately on all new and existing claims
Participate as an active member of claims forums
Required Qualifications
Minimum one (1) year of highly successful Bodily Injury claims handling experience
Current Adjuster License or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
Outstanding customer service and professional communication skills, both oral and written
Understanding and ability to execute and comply with Department of Insurance Guidelines and Requirements as established in the Insurance Code
Exceptional negotiating skills
Proficient computer skills with ability to function in all Microsoft Office Programs
Highly organized
Ability to multi-task and prioritize successfully in a fast paced, high-volume environment
Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement
