Raisso is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Windsor, Vermont.

Job Description & Requirements

Certifications:

State License Requirements:

• Vermont RN License – Required
• Compact License – Accepted

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg & Rehab experience – Required
• Charge RN experience – Required
• Previous travel experience (minimum 3 months) – Required
• BSN – Preferred
• Must have own vehicle (no public transportation available in area) – Required
• Permanent address must be included in traveler profile
• No local travelers (must live 50+ miles from facility)

Skills & Responsibilities:

• Coordinates total nursing care for assigned patients
• Provides patient and family teaching and support
• Acts as backup Charge Nurse when needed
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to maintain nursing standards
• May float between Med Surg and Acute Rehab units

Work Environment & Unit Details:

• Unit Type: Med Surg / Acute Rehab
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
• Average Daily Census: 22 patients
• Bed Count: 35-bed Critical Access Hospital
• Accreditations: CARF Accredited
• Community: Small, rural hospital setting – personal vehicle required

Scheduling & Time Off Policies:

• RTO: Maximum of 5 days – must be submitted with profile
  • RTO requests after upload will not be approved
• Block scheduling not permitted
• Holiday Coverage Requirement: Must work ONE of the following options:
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day + following Friday/weekend
  • New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day + following Friday/weekend
• Extensions: Contracts ending before December holidays will not be extended into early 2026

Attendance Policy:

• 3-Strike Call-Off Rule:
  • After 3 call-offs, the traveler’s contract may be terminated
  • Call-offs must be communicated 1.5 hours prior to shift
