Job Description

Join Plains All American as an Electrician and Instrumentation Technician, where you'll provide essential electrical and instrumentation support across various facilities. This role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for hands-on tasks, all while focusing on operational safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executes tasks with moderate guidance and direction
  • Schedules and performs inspections and maintenance of electrical equipment
  • Maintains equipment according to the maintenance control system
  • Conducts preventative maintenance tasks on electrical equipment
  • Performs lockouts and isolations on company facilities
  • Tests and ensures correct operation of various equipment and systems
  • Installs, programs, and troubleshoots electronic metering devices
  • Participates in construction projects and special assignments
  • Completes paperwork for regulatory compliance
  • Ensures safety, regulatory, and operational integrity policies are followed

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work in a team-based work environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with electrical code requirements and specifications
  • Experience or training with high voltage electrical systems
  • Proficient at installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing basic industrial electrical systems
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Office, Word)
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree or participation in apprenticeship program
  • Two years of field experience
  • Training in HVAC and/or instrumentation
  • Proficiency in working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Understanding of pipeline and facility operations
  • Knowledge of pipeline measurement balances and standards
