Shift: Nights, 8-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week

 

Position Summary:

seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) with pediatric experience to join our team in an acute care setting. This is a night shift role in our Pediatric unit, where you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to children and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver age-appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute care setting
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using the EPIC charting system
  • Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide emotional support and education to families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and home care instructions
  • Respond to emergency situations and initiate life-saving measures as needed
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines
  • Participate in shift handoffs and interdisciplinary rounds
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Active New York RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric acute care experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical record system (preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient advocacy skills
  • Must be able to adapt to the changing needs of pediatric patients and their families
Certifications (Required):
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA or ARC
