• Nursing Shift: Night, 4x12-hour shifts/week (21:00 - 09:30)

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrubs: Navy Blue
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,970 - $2,110 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• First-time travel nurses are welcome

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Manage a 1:6 patient ratio in a fast-paced ER setting
• Perform advanced clinical procedures: arterial line management, chest tube insertion, intubation, central line care
• Administer emergency medications and blood products
• Conduct triage, assessment, and stabilization for a wide range of diagnoses (abdominal pain, trauma, respiratory infections, seizures, drug overdose, acute psychosis, etc.)
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Monitor ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation/paralytics, CPAP/BiPAP
• Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and behavioral health conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including radiology and interpretation services
• Maintain strict isolation precautions and infection control standards
