Key Responsibilities
Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws
Facilitating legitimate trade and travel
Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances
Determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the U.S.
Preventing illegal entry and smuggling of contraband
Required Qualifications
One year of specialized experience in law enforcement
Detaining or arresting violators of federal, state, or local laws
Enforcing laws related to importing, exporting, and international shipping
Utilizing intelligence techniques to identify threats
Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity
U.S. Citizenship
Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
Must be referred before your 40th birthday
