Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro ICU
Location: Manahattan NY - 10016
Shift Type: Days & Night (Both are available)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Roles & Responsibilities: - Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU
- Monitor neurological status and vital signs, interpret data, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per provider orders and protocols
- Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, and manage central lines
- Assist with and monitor patients under conscious sedation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Document patient care accurately in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery processes
- Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards
Required Skills & Qualifications: - License: Active and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Certifications:
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience (ICU or Neuro ICU preferred)
- Proficient in IV insertion and phlebotomy
- Skilled in conscious sedation procedures
- Other Requirements:
- Primary source license verification required
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
