Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently performs advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures Acts as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students Verifies physician orders and procedures Explains procedures to patients Operates imaging equipment according to protocol Reviews images for diagnostic quality Completes quality control procedures Assists in departmental operations Required QualificationsCompletion of a CAHEA approved formal training program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications2 years Sonographer experience Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty
