Job Description
Join Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Emergency, where you'll provide critical patient care in a dynamic, multi-specialty environment. Key Responsibilities
Provide triage and stabilize incoming patients
Administer IV, IM, SQ, and PO medications
Assist with diagnostics such as radiographs, bloodwork, and ECGs
Manage fluid therapy and anesthesia monitoring
Communicate effectively with doctors, teammates, and clients
Maintain detailed medical records and treatment sheets
Support patient admissions, discharges, and client education
Assist in emergency procedures and critical care support
Required Qualifications
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT)
Strong organizational skills
Client communication skills
Comfortable with advanced diagnostics and anesthetic monitoring
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced veterinary technician/assistant
Tech-savvy and able to learn veterinary software systems
Collaborative and compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
