Key Responsibilities
Perform various phlebotomy techniques (venipuncture, fingerstick, heelstick)
Identify patients and label specimen tubes accurately
Prioritize STAT draws and ensure timely transport of specimens
Utilize computers for order entry and verification
Organize work and complete workload statistics
Assist in training new employees and interns
Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy areas
Act as a receptionist when required
Required Qualifications
High school education or equivalent
One year of full-time experience in phlebotomy
Preferred Qualifications
Certified or certified eligible with National Phlebotomy Association
