Registered Nurse – IMC

Facility: University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center – Bel Air

Location: 500 Upper Chesapeake Dr, Bel Air, MD 21014

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shifts: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 – 19:30)

Weekends: Every Other Weekend

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience Required:- 3 years of clinical IMC experience preferred

- Will consider 2 years (approved to screen over)

- First-time travelers accepted

- Travel Experience: Not required

- Charting System: Epic (Required)

- Certifications Required:- BLS (AHA only)

- CPI (Calm Every Storm online version accepted)

- NIHSS

- ACLS (Preferred)

IV Therapy / Phlebotomy:

- Accessing Ports*

Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response:

- Interpretation of dysrhythmias

- Chest tubes – Emerson/Pleur-evac

- External CPAP/BIPAP

- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)

- Interpretation of ABGs*

- Tracheostomy management

- Non-invasive airway management

Cardiovascular:

- Pacemakers – Temporary/Permanent*

- Post MI*

- Post Cardiac Angiogram*

- TR Band*

- Pre/Post Cardiac Cath

- Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery*

Neurological / Psychiatric:

- CVA*

- Lumbar drains*

- Post TPA care*

- Seizure disorders

- Substance withdrawal

Genitourinary / Renal:

- Renal failure

- Pre/Post Hemodialysis

- Continuous Bladder Irrigation*

Gastrointestinal:

- Feeding tube care and management

Medications:

- Heparin Protocols

- PCA

- Titrate Cardiac drips

- Thrombolytic Agents

- Manage Cardiac Drips – no titration

- Floating: Required within hospital – must be comfortable with no restrictions
