Role

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a bridge between business units and IT, ensuring that technology solutions align with Mazuma Credit Union’s strategic objectives and operational needs. This role is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes and systems to improve efficiency, service quality, and member experience. The Business Services Analyst plays a key role in the management and optimization of critical business applications, with a strong emphasis on Jack Henry product suites and other major systems used by the credit union.

The Business Systems Analyst also serves as Tier 2/3 support for all application-related issues and works collaboratively with both business units and IT to ensure that applications function properly and remain current with the latest supported versions.

Knowledge And Skills

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of business systems analysis or equivalent experience in a technical or application-focused role.
• Strong familiarity and hands-on experience with the Jack Henry product suite, including: Symitar, Synergy, ImageCenter, IMM eSign, MoveIT.
• Experience working with additional platforms such as: MeridianLink, Origence, Entrust CardWizard, Power BI.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in the financial services or credit union industry strongly preferred.

Education

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant equivalent experience.

Preferred Education

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus

Other Skills

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Skilled in process mapping, requirements gathering, and documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and business analysis platforms such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer, tablet, telephone, copier, facsimile, printer, scanner, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Occasional after-hours or on-call support may be required. Must be able to respond to critical system needs and service availability issues as needed. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.

Work Environment

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise.
