ER RN Job Details – Franklin, Indiana

• Location: Franklin, Indiana (46131) – Indiana nursing jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Room (ER) – Acute Care
• Assignment Duration: 13-week travel nurse contract (Start: 12/22/2025, End: 3/23/2026)
• Shifts: 12-hour night shifts (7-7, 11-11, or 3-3), 3 shifts per week
• Shifts per week: 3.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Unit Details: 26 beds, 3 trauma bays, 4-bed fast track area
• Charting System: Cerner EMR

ER Nurse Qualifications and Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Indiana or compact state
• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Recent experience with Cerner EMR (within the last year)
• Recent clinical experience in CCU/ICU and MS/Tele (within the last year)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (TNCC and ENPC preferred)
• Proficient in IV starts, EKG rhythm interpretation, and medication administration
• Ability to board patients and float to Med-Surg (MS) or Critical Care Unit (CCU) as needed
• Strong flexibility and commitment to fulfilling the travel nursing contract
• Orientation: 2 shifts in ER, 2 half shifts in MS and CCU

ER RN Job Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages (pediatric to geriatric)
• Board and transport patients to other hospital units as needed
• Perform IV starts, administer medications, and interpret EKG rhythms
• Assist with triage and manage ER holds within the department
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, medics, and patient care technicians
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips
• Float to Med-Surg or Critical Care Units as required
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
• Adhere to hospital dress code (navy blue scrubs) and all healthcare policies
