• Location: Danville, Virginia (24541) – Explore "The River District" with scenic parks, trails, historic architecture, boutiques, art galleries, and museums. Danville offers small-town warmth with city amenities and is just 45 miles north of Greensboro, NC.
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
• Healthcare Setting: 250-bed Academic Community Hospital
• Unit: Emergency Department (ED)
• Start Date: October 28, 2025
• End Date: January 27, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780-$1910 per week
• Orientation: Bi-weekly on Tuesdays

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience (3-5 years preferred)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be obtained prior to start)
• Consent to random drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form
• Must reside 60 miles or more from Danville, VA, to qualify as a travel nurse

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and emergency interventions for a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record
• Participate in hospital orientation and ongoing professional development for nurses
