Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – American Heart Association
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong clinical skills in trauma, stroke, chest pain, and orthopedic emergencies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with emergency conditions including sepsis, CHF, trauma, chest pain, stroke, lacerations, and orthopedic emergencies
• Assist with trauma, stroke, and chest pain protocols and special procedures
• Monitor and document patient status using Cerner EMR system
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
