Join Raytheon's Effector RF Products Team as a Principal RF Subsystem Lead Engineer, where you'll leverage your expertise in RF systems and signal processing to develop cutting-edge solutions for missile products, leading small teams and driving innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Specify, design, and test advanced RF sensors and subsystems
Decompose system-level requirements into detailed RF component and algorithm requirements
Measure RF components/sensors/subsystems in chamber and range environments
Perform modeling and analysis of link budgets and signal processing chains
Utilize statistical techniques for sensitivity analyses and design trades
Support software teams with signal processing algorithm implementation
Support simulation team with RF HW models integration
Assist production team with troubleshooting and requirements re-allocation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 6 years of experience in RF sensors, subsystems, and signal processing
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of RF technologies including CCAs, waveguides, antennas, RF modules, and MMICs
Experience with Link Budget and Radar Range Equation analyses
Design and analysis of signal processing chains including digital receivers and filters
Understanding of antenna patterns and RF measurements
Experience in phase noise, mixer conversion spurs, AGC, sensitivity, IMD, and ADC measurements
Familiarity with Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, and Signal Generators
Understanding of EMI and EMV mitigation strategies
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience interacting across engineering disciplines
