Shift Notes
3x12s, Weekend on call. 8-830 Saturday and Sunday about every six weeks.

- Charting System: GE MACLab, Siemens Xray, PACS
🩺 Position Overview
⚠️ This is not a full Cath Lab RN role.
The traveler will only be assigned to prep & recovery for patients undergoing procedures.
🧾 Key Details
- Location: Includes 3 procedure rooms + Hybrid OR (4th room under construction)
- Case Load:
- ~17 Cath Lab cases/day
- ~22–23 total cases/day (including CT, MRI, Ultrasound)
- Common Procedures/Diagnoses:
- Cath Lab: Diagnostic, intervention, rotablator, shockwave, right hearts
- IR: Ports, G-tubes, nephrostomy, biliary drains, dialysis lines
- EP: Ablations, device implants, temporary pacers (Anesthesia present)
- Recovery Room Procedures: Bone marrow, bronchoscopies, cardioversions
📋 Required Experience & Skills
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Required Skills:
- Ventilator management
- Pressor management
- Conscious sedation (for recovery room cases)
🧑⚕️ Roles & Duties
- Procedure Nurses:
- Circulate and monitor patients
- May float to CT, MRI, Ultrasound to assist
- Recovery Nurses:
- Care for post-procedure patients in a 17-bed unit
- Manage conscious sedation procedures
⏰ Shifts & Scheduling
- Pre-Op/Recovery RN Shifts:
- 4x10s: 12:00–22:30 or 14:00–00:30
- Call: Every 5th weekend (day shift), one weeknight
- Procedure RN Shifts:
- 3x12s: 07:00–19:00 OR
- 4x10s: 09:00–19:30
- Call: 1 night/week, every 3rd–4th weekend

- Recovery Nurses: 45 mins
- Holiday Call: ~1 per year, shared with perm staff
👥 Staffing Structure
- Daily Techs: ~10 (Cath Lab & IR); 3 per room
- On Call Team: 2 techs per team
- Leadership: Charge RN & Supervisor Tech

- Scrubs/Dress Code: Provided
- Orientation:
- 2 weeks (varies by experience)
- Buddy call for 3–4 weeks
- Floating: Voluntary basis only
- Licensure Requirement:
- NO license hits related to med diversion or endangerment
- Violations will lead to immediate contract termination
