ICU RN Job Details

  • Location: Portland, Oregon 97213 (Oregon nursing jobs)
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025 – End: 2/9/2026)
  • Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts per week (Days: 07:00–19:00, Nights: 19:00–07:00; rotating schedule)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2010 - $2160
  • Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
  • Floating: Required to other units and nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
  • Parking: Free on-site
  • Scrub Color: Any color

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon (pending license accepted)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; CCRN preferred
  • Experience with Epic EMR/Charting system required
  • Must have a vehicle for travel between healthcare facilities
  • Ability to float to other units and affiliate hospitals as needed
  • Willingness to work every other weekend and some holidays
  • Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years

ICU RN Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Monitor and manage critically ill patients, including those requiring ventilator support, CRRT, ECMO, and advanced cardiac interventions
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, pulmonary artery lines/Swan Ganz, and vasoactive intravenous medications
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
  • Document patient care using Epic electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed to meet patient care demands
  • Participate in orientation and complete required clinical modules prior to start
