Key Responsibilities
Assist in design of electrical projects and installation of electrical equipment
Coordinate efforts with other workers on installation and maintenance
Consult with operators and engineers for equipment layout and problem resolution
Determine feasibility of standardized equipment and develop specifications
Work with voltage levels up to 480, 4160 and wire Variable Frequency Drives
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
Inspect equipment for assembly accuracy and defects
Advise management on equipment hazards
Maintain equipment logs
Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions
Assist with management of contracted electrical projects
Participate in ongoing skill improvement training
Required Qualifications
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
18 years or older
Ability to perform physical job duties including bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Able to work under special work conditions such as extreme heat or cold
Ability to work in elevated areas
Must be able to operate machinery
Read/write English
High School diploma or Equivalent
Basic computer skills including data entry and retrieval
Ability to work overtime
Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts
Perform electrical maintenance trade
Experience with blueprints, schematics, manuals, and mathematical knowledge for such work
Operate mobile equipment
High degree of mechanical aptitude
Basic mathematical skills
Willing to work in inclement weather
Work in both outdoor and indoor plant environments
Good time management skills
Install conduit and pull wire
Strong commitment to safety
Adequate transportation
Use multiple tools such as multimeter, voltmeter, and safety equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with wiring and programming Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers
Experience using electrical test equipment for analysis and troubleshooting
Knowledge of the National Electric Code
Mechanical aptitude for working with blueprints and maintenance manuals
Apprentice, Journeyman or above license with the state of Nebraska or equivalent
A 2-year degree in electromechanical, electrical system, or equivalent
